Hello, I'm here at Best Bodies Pilates Wellness Retreat. It's been an incredible day. Everyone's been doing their breathing, their moving, some wonderful speakers and I am closing the event today. So I'm here because we all know we need to be doing things, but sometimes we don't do it. And this is this knowing and doing gap. And today we're going to close this gap. Look at where people are feeling stuck and help them move forward in the direction they're wanting to move.
0:34 to 1:08
Can't wait to get up on that stage. The theme of today is shine bright. So I'm here ready to shine bright. Let's do it. Feel the heat, everybody. Let's feel it. I'm braiding you. High five to you, Mac. I've been dubbed by the US media as the excuse buster from down under. But today isn't about me. Today is about you. So I am going to bestow that title onto you all. Today you're all going to become your very own excuse busters from down under. Something in your life that you've been stuck on something.
1:08 to 1:43
Maybe you're procrastinating on something. Maybe there's something you're wanting to do. You know you need to be doing it. You know you want to do it, but you're not doing it. The knowing and doing gap. And today we're going to get unstuck and close that gap. Now we have got the creative juices flowing. I turn around and I speak to this amazing woman who says she is arranging, or her new goal in life is to arrange amazing retreats for women and for people who can't get away. Of your own weight. So.
1:43 to 2:17
Yeah. You have to do it all. It has to be this big thing, but it's all too hard and all too big. We want to turn this all or nothing mindset into an all or something. What happens? That next step becomes a bit easier. And the next and the next. You know what else it does? You take that step and it fills momentum. That's right. Has anyone seen Ghostbusters? We don't have the backpacks. We are going to get ourselves one of these. It's an excuse whacker. Just do two minutes.
2:17 to 2:52
That's all you have to do. Say it again. I don't have time. Just take two minutes. Whack. Yes. Big round of applause. And look around at everybody there. Other people are now going to perceive you as more confident. You are more capable. That's it. Just from shifting your body. And what was happening is I would always at the end of the day go through all the things that I had done wrong. But you know what? I did that one thing today for me. That plie at my kitchen bench. And that sense of achievement was enough to keep bringing me back to doing that again and again.
2:52 to 3:27
It was months after I'd done that first plie at my kitchen bench. I'd started to get more professional help. And so I had Stella on one hip and my baby Ruby on the other. And we started dancing together. First tiny two minutes less step. And the next and the next had led me to that precious moment. It led me to do the work that I do. And it's led me here to being here in front of you all, which I am so grateful for. And if I can do that, you can do it too. Will you dance with me? Yes?
